Job Description: Bar Lead
Chattermark Distillers, Boston’s Whiskey House and award-winning craft distillery is looking for a full-time Bar Lead to join our growing team and new Tasting Room Cocktail Bar! This opportunity is for an experienced bartender and hospitality professional who is a self-starter, and passionate about designing and creating quality craft cocktails. This role comes with the opportunity to work with a small company eager to grow its brand! This right candidate will lead the bar team during service and will work directly with our management to make improvements to the overall guest experience.
Essential Duties:
· Manage the opening/closing of the bar
· Responsible for all aspects of bartending and preparation for service
· Provide knowledgeable, prompt, and courteous service at the bar
· Assist with distillery tours and tastings
· Able to educate and effectively communicate information to all staff members
· Assist with inventory updates
· Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
· Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
· Keep bar area clean, sanitary, safe, stocked and organized
· Check customer identification and confirm compliance with legal drinking age
· Monitor customers for alcohol intake and comply with standards
· Comply with company safety policies and requirements
· Potential to assist with bottling and production duties
· Assist with on premise and off premise events
· Ability to conduct cocktail classes for guests
· Willingness to learn and educate customers on the unique aspects of craft distillery operations
· Intellectual curiosity and ability to create unique cocktail combinations
Skills Required:
· 2-4 year of previous experience in bartending and hospitality
· Thorough knowledge of spirits and classic cocktails
· Strong interpersonal & hospitality skills
· Results-driven, with a proven ability to be a self-starter
· Work well in a team-oriented environment
· Availability to work nights and weekends
· Maintain positive attitude with mature judgement and behavior
· Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
· TIPS Certified and Serve Safe a plus
· Must be a least 21 years of age

Chattermark Distillers, Boston’s Whiskey House and award-winning craft distillery is seeking part-time Bartenders for our new Tasting Room Cocktail Bar and join our growing team! Positions are available to those that are self-starters, team-oriented, and passionate about local spirits and creating craft cocktails. As part of the team, ideal candidates will be eager to learn about distilling and how our spirits are crafted. This role comes with a huge opportunity to grow as the ideal candidate can assist with developing cocktail menus, and event planning!

· Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
· Presents self in a professional and respectful manner with co-workers, customers and vendors
· Maintain positive attitude with mature judgement and behavior
· Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
· TIPS Certified and Serve Safe a plus
· Must be at least 21 years of age
